Job Summary

The Air Ticketing Executive handles the day-to-day operations of flight bookings and passenger documentation. The primary objective is to deliver accurate travel routing and transparent pricing while maintaining compliance with international aviation regulations

Key Responsibilities

Booking flights and selecting seats using Global Distribution Systems (GDS) like Amadeus, Galileo, or Worldspan.
Creating and distributing e-tickets, ensuring correct passenger data, and validating itinerary details.
Calculating specialized pricing including published, consolidated, corporate, or inclusive tour (ITX) fares.
Managing schedule disruptions, rebooking flights, and recalculating ticket costs for voluntary changes.
Evaluating fare rules to calculate, process, and track airline refunds and cancellations.
Checking international travel requirements, including passenger visas, passport validity, and health regulations.
Securing payments, reconciling daily sales logs, and handling Airline Debit Memos (ADMs).

Skills and Qualifications

Mandatory, hands-on experience operating GDS platforms such as Amadeus or Galileo.
Strong understanding of IATA geography, routing codes, and complex multi-city itinerary structures.
Precision in inputting Advance Passenger Information System (APIS) data and managing name corrections.
Ability to resolve sudden airline schedule changes or customer complaints efficiently under time constraints.
Fluent verbal and written skills to clearly explain complex fare rules, taxes, and baggage restrictions to clients.
Passed GCE Ordinary Level and Advanced Level examinations. Certificates in Travel & Tourism or IATA/UFTAA ticketing are highly preferred.
